Remove the insurance companies from the equation. I worked for a large insurer for 2 years, and although the process works for homeowners and auto where the companies are under the thumb of the States, even then the cost of running the business was 30% of every premium dollar. I don't know for sure, but I'd bet it's about the same for medical.We are at a crossroads on many topics wherein the same old bandage approach no longer stems the aortic flow.
