    More or less, let me try to explain, the article has 2 things in it:
    * One where I think nVidia could have done better, regarding the Kai reference, but which isn't that important;
    * Another where nVidia did well, with the new Mac Pro, and which might mean that the integrated graphics will still need a further generation or two to catch up, given the demands of retina displays.

    This second development was what made me turn neutral.

    It will probably still show a low score, but considerably higher than today.

    $100 more is too much, really.

    The devices wouldn't be nVidia's, they'd have to be from some manufacturer.

    I'm thorn regarding shorting it into weakness. I think it will go well below where it trades right now, but would rather short on a bounce.

    I expect AMZN to flunk, badly. But while NVDA seems to be targetting $199, Google had $199 as a given and seemed to be targetting below if needed. That's the difference.

    I just find it not particularly bright to think that AMZN will sit at $199. And keep in mind that this is coming from someone that's quite negative on AMZN.

    I've been expecting natural gas to go up (since April 24) during 2012 and 2013 and leading to a stabilization of the coal space, followed by it going up as well. I was a coal bear as well.

    There's a little known dynamic to capacity sellers (JOY is one). People familiar with the cyclicality of the semiconductor equipment space probably understand it better - JOY will probably see a dramatic plunge in activity - and mostly unexpected, too.

    Yes, I am saying that, but just regarding this particular product. It's simply obvious that AMZN is preparing to move the price, so shooting for that particular price point already shows lack of foresight.

    canis, I had actually spoken negatively on JOY a few weeks ago, in the comments in my coal and natural gas articles. However, there's still plenty of room for further erosion, hence the article.

    CAT is less exposed to this, and obviously QE3 or LTRO3 can take everything higher, but this risk I described can be pretty powerful. All those mining companies spend a LOT in capex, and they're all going to cut it to the bone.
