Dave’s mission is to help self-directed individual investors profit from the stock market. His books and articles are step-by-step guides, easily understood yet sophisticated in their approach. They are not meant to dazzle. They are meant to inform, educate, and guide.  

Dave holds an undergraduate degree in physics from Holy Cross College and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center. He received formal business training at Rochester Institute of Technology and at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, one of the world’s leading graduate business schools.  

In his 27-year career with a major international publisher, Dave held progressive positions as a legal analyst, author, editor-in-chief, general manager, and strategy planner. He has extensive experience in taking complex subjects, often involving contradictory points of view, and blending them into a reasonable and readable presentation.
